Janet's more light hearted approach to mystery writing has given our Muser something to ponder, how has our crime fiction evolved over the years, do we need grittier detectives for grittier times, or is there still a place for the simpler style of Agatha Christie, Janet Evanovich and M C Beaton?
We've had some new Cool Reads this month too, recommendations from readers visiting our central library. Last months poll revealed more of you were in book groups than we expected, just under half of our responses were members, which just shows that reading isn't the solitary pastime people might assume.
